Alfy,The Writer

Alfy's first

Alfy's first attempt at writing was in 9th grade when he created a play to fulfill a requirement for his Boy Scout Theatre merit badge. The two best things about that creation were first, it got him that merit badge and second, it was mercifully lost to history. His first major writing success was when he crafter his course of Study for Teaching Theatre in High Schools which was adopted by the State of Iowa Department of Education. He entered the realm of professional journalism by accepting the position of drama critic for the Winona Daily News, when no one else would accept the position. Alfy then went on to write feature articles for both newspapers and magazines. For two years he had his own highly successful syndicated column. Alfy's first book, Alfy's Amazing But True Tales of American History and More, tells fifty true stories from history you won't find in a history book. It is the first of a new and exciting series. His second edition of Alfy's Amazing But True Tales which soon will be ready for publication, includes 50 new and remarkable stories often overlooked by the history books. Also ready for publication is his first historical novel, An American Odyssey, The Novel, based on his critically acclaimed one-man play, An American Odyssey.
