For half a century Alfy has been actively involved in
theatre and entertainment. Having completed both a B.A. and M.A. in theatre,
he spent 10 years teaching different aspects of theatre in high school, college
and even a state prison.
As an artistic and production director, he
staged performances for high schools, colleges, and community theatres. For
3 years he was the technical producer for "THE CHILDREN'S MIRACLE NETWORK TELETHON"
created by Donny and Marie Osmond.
After studying classical acting with
MIKOLOS ZAKOTS of the HUNGARIAN NATIONAL THEATRE and method acting with Peter
Sander, Alfy recreated numerous memorable stage roles. In addition, he was seen
in various radio and television commercials and industrial films. Recently,
Alfy replaced Senator John McCain as narrator for the national radio broadcast
production of "SURVIVING THE BATAAN DEATH MARCH." He also made small appearances
in two feature films where he was privileged to work with JOSE' FERRER and JAMES
WHITMORE.
For almost two decades he appeared as the Royal Child Seller &
Virgin Protector at Renaissance festivals from California to Florida, including
15 years with the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. Alfy is probably best remembered
for his appearances in 5 one-man shows, 4 of which he wrote (co-wrote), produced,
and performed for over 15 years throughout the United States and Great Britain.
In 2006 he created "ALFY'S WORLD OF ROBOTIC PUPPETS", appearing at fairs,
festivals and corporate events from Hallock, Minnesota to Douglas, Arizona.
In the fall of 2010 "ALFY'S WORLD OF ROBOTIC PUPPETS , was sold to Homeward
Bound Theatre Company and can still be found at
www.alfyspuppets.com where
they live on.
A specialist in dialects, Alfy is ever on the watch for
that next challenging role.
